Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how ReviewAbout LLC uses cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies on reviewabout.me.
1. Why we use these technologies
- Strictly necessary: authentication, sessions, security, request routing, and abuse prevention.
- Preferences: language, interface choices, and information needed to continue a submission.
- Analytics and performance: visits, review views, clicks, errors, engagement, and performance.
- Third-party features: social sign-in, maps, video, sharing, and other content you choose to use.
- Advertising: measurement or personalization where enabled and permitted.
2. Providers
The Service uses or supports first-party storage, Google Analytics, Hotjar, ReviewAbout/Plur analytics, Google and Facebook authentication, Google Maps, YouTube, and social-sharing features. Third parties may set or read their own cookies when a feature loads or you interact with it.
3. Duration and controls
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies and local-storage entries remain until their configured expiration or deletion. You can delete or block them through browser or device settings, although some Service features may stop working.
A basic page-view counter is active by default. It stores aggregate daily page-view counts, including a separate count for visitors who enabled detailed analytics, without a visitor identifier or device fingerprint. A single-use token is held for up to six minutes to prevent duplicate submissions and is not linked to a visitor. "Accept" enables Plurix, Google Analytics, Hotjar, and review-engagement tracking. "Decline" leaves only the basic counter active. "Decline all tracking" also turns off the basic counter. You can reopen "Cookie settings" to change your choice or select "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in the footer for an immediate browser-level opt-out. Global Privacy Control turns off all tracking in that browser.
4. Changes and contact
We may update this Cookie Policy when our technology or legal obligations change. Questions or opt-out requests may be sent to support@reviewabout.me.
